The V Classic gallery is finally open! Uploaded DVD screencaps from Part 1 of the original mini series, and some promos/stills.

How did you like it? I fell in love with the series back in mid-80s when it was first aired here and I still get a kick out of it  ;D V and the second miniseries V - The Final Battle are great, IMO. Sadly the weekly series is pretty bad.

I watched both the miniseries when they were first on tv and loved them.

As for the weekly tv series I saw all but the last five episodes when it first aired and I always wondered how the season ended ( or didn't end as the case may be ) so now I have some closure. I've always felt that the weekly tv series started out ok but then it went mediocre. While I think that there are one or two good episodes in the last half of the series and some real stinkers most were just middle of the road. The budget for the show had been cut way back and most of the cast was let go with characters being killed off for no other reason than to get rid of them.

Still, I'm a fan of B sci fi films so I get some fun out of even the bad episodes. With the lack of any good shows on TV right now watching even the bad episodes beats the hell out of watching some drivel like dancing with the stars.

I know, I too prefer even the bad eps of my favorite shows to reality tv etc.

I don't remember much from the Weekly Series - I only saw it once in late 80s, hurriedly because we had to rent the eps back then (and I'm still amazed they had them for rental!) so I couldn't rewatch them like V and The Final Battle which I had taped. It wasn't shown in tv here until about 2005 or so. I remember the first few episodes the best - I was really bummed out when they did away with Ham Tyler who was my favorite character. I loved Diana and Lydia and like everyone else, but they didn't quite make up for Ham :)

I got the DVDs last year, but haven't had time to sit down and watch them - I really want to have a rewatch from the beginning V to the last ep of the Weekly, but things keep getting in the way.
